This is a story about a very smart old hen. Mary is different from the other chickens. Mary is short and very round and she has a full coat with beautiful brown feathers that cover her legs and her feet. She is the oldest hen in the hen house. Because she is old Mary isn't laying eggs daily so she keeps and eye on the eggs she lays. But Mary becomes sad because her eggs keep disappearing. Then she lays one more egg.
